Sanitary Check Valves > SVC/SHC Series

SHC Series The patented SVC/SHC Series check valves are designed specifically for vertical and horizontal installation in bio-pharmaceutical and parenteral drug manufacturing applications. This best available technology is the first in its class to be used for back flow prevention in Bio and Parenteral processing applications.

SVC/SHC Series Value Proposition
1. The valves follow ASME BPE guidelines since no springs, wet guided stems, hinges or other mechanical return mechanisms are used, and have an SF5 finish as standard. They are also more sheer friendly than traditional designs, crevice free, fully drainable and are CIP and SIP capable. All of these design features reduce product waste and increase the probability of good quality/quantity batch outcomes.
2. The SVC/SHC's revolutionary features increase the valves functional performance compared with traditional wet guided, spring loaded designs in terms of opening pressures, DP requirements, and reliability, improving the systemic probability for product quality. They open consistently at less than 3 mb (Polymer discs) or 9 mb (316L/EPDM disc), and reliably because of the elimination of hysteresis surrounding the wetted guiding and plug striction endemic with traditional "sanitary" spring loaded designs.

Applications
Back flow prevention in: WFI and USP PW at pump out, or POU downflows; sparge, blanket and purge gas; clean condensate and hygienic drain applications. Bioprocess and waste outflows from separation and purification processes are also possible with the design.

Features & Benefits

Applicable for gas, or liquids, and suitable for CIP and SIP. 316L/elastomer disc units are autoclavable
Elimination of springs or hinges speeds opening time and eliminates particle entrapment areas
High flow rates with minimal pressure loss compared with mechanical return check valves
Low particle shedding properties compared with sliding disc type or spring return check valves
Unique designs eliminates dead space and crevices associated with spring check valves
Self-draining flow path
